Vapour Recovery Unit
A Vapour Recovery Unit (VRU) is a system designed to capture and recover hydrocarbon vapors that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere during the storage, loading, or transfer of petroleum products (such as gasoline, crude oil, or chemicals). These vapors are often volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which contribute to air pollution, smog formation, and greenhouse gas emissions.
VRUs are essential for environmental protection, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in industries handling volatile hydrocarbons.
In Malaysia, Samudra represent and collaborate with world’s renowned VRU technology expertise Oil & Gas Technologies (OGT) and ZEECO Inc to bring you comprehensive end-to-end solutions; from providing engineering support feasibility study, site assessment report/ data collection, sizing, supplying and turnkey project of the complete VRU in:
Our VRU solutions bring key benefits among others
OGT is from Australia whereas ZEECO Inc. is master expertise and proven technology worldwide not only in VRU but also in flares and burners. We are proud to offer our clients and stakeholders our advanced VRU- which are designed to be the most reliable, environmentally friendly, and financially sound means of achieving equivalent VOC destruction efficiencies (DRE) up to 99.99%.
We also offer Continuous Inlet Monitor (CIM) for measuring the number of hydrocarbons coming from the loading rack to the VRU and Continuous Emission Monitor (CEM) for measuring VOC emissions from vent stack. It’s designed for a minimum pressure drop to ensure backpressure on the truck rack in less than 18″ WC. It comes with PLC- based control systems with HMI for ease of control and monitoring.
Please contact us if you require any assistance whether it’s to purpose engineering feasibility study, data assessment report or after-market/ refurbishment for improvement, troubleshooting and spares
We will be more than happy to attend to your need.
