HPA250-PRS200

The Liquip HPA250 hydrant pit assembly is a lightweight, 600mm diameter solution designed for airport taxiways, providing sealing and protection for fueling and inspection operations.

This assembly features an integral bellows for specialized flange connections, dual lids (18” and 24”) for durability, and compatibility with standard pit refueling valves and drainage systems. Built to exceed stringent aviation load standards, the HPA250 ensures reliable performance and longevity. Ideal for high-demand fueling environments, this assembly offers a dependable and efficient solution to meet the needs of modern airports.

  • Materials: HDPE body, cast aluminum covers, stainless steel fasteners, Viton seals.
  • Standards: EI1540 compliant.
  • Capacity: Holds 79L (250L with valve).
  • Load: Exceeds Shell & BP tarmac requirements.
  • Temperature Range: -40°C to +200°C.
  • Weight: ~85kg (vs. 158kg for steel pits).

Hydrant Valve

The Hydrant Valve is a high-performance valve designed for regulating fuel flow from underground pipelines directly to aircraft during refueling, ensuring swift and secure airport fueling operations.

  • Features: EI 1584 3rd Edition compliant, ANSI 150 flange, low pressure drop, compatible with EI/API couplers, and serviceable without depressurization.
  • Max Pressure: 18.9 bar; Hydrostatic: 28.0 bar.
  • Temp: -25°C to 70°C; Weight: 32 kg.
  • Opening: 3–5 sec;
    Closing: 5–10 sec.
  • Materials: Ductile cast iron body, stainless steel API adaptor, PTFE, and fluorocarbon seals

GBMY50 Series

Meggitt has developed the GBMY50 Series, an environmentally friendly hydrant pit box designed to prevent fuel spillage and environmental contamination. 

This innovative product features a two-piece design with a large welded inner catchment area and is engineered to handle significant ground movement without compromising valve operation or riser safety. A high-level seal ensures accurate spill measurement and allows for easy maintenance without special tools or hydrant depressurization. The sturdy, lightweight aluminium lid is designed to withstand heavy aircraft loads and includes a secure locking mechanism, plus an optional strap for added security during use.

  • Materials: Carbon steel inner and outer body, API 5L Grade B standard weight riser pipe,  Aviation fuel-resistant NITRILE seal.
  • Treatment: Two coat epoxy enamel for inner surfaces of body, " Intertuf " epoxy for outer surfaces of body, Copon EA4-2217 or Interline 850 for Riser pipe 6" bore
  • Testing: Riser pipe section pressure tested to 28 bar (406 psi)

GBMY3806M2

The Meggitt GBMY3806M2 1.5-inch Sampling, Vent, or Drain Unit is designed for reliability and compatibility with standard 18-inch pit externals featuring a 6-inch ANSI class 300 flange. 

It includes two 1.5-inch fire-safe ball valves, a stainless steel tank unit adaptor, and a nickel-plated base flange per DEF STAN 03-05. Compatible with CCMY120, CCMY6153, and CCMY8153 couplers, it operates at a max working pressure of 19 bar (275 psi) and a test pressure of 41 bar (600 psi). Offering an option for pre-fitted draining pipes, it ensures efficient and secure fuel operations.

  • Being fitted with a standard 6-inch ANSI 300 (BS 1560) flange it can be installed in standard hydrant pit externals.
  • Sampling - installed at a convenient point on a riser from the main hydra
  • Venting - installed at a high point in the hydrant line.
  • Draining - Installed at a low point in the hydrant line (counter bore in flange for welding drain tube)
